What are the components that make my trousers warm?

To keep you warm, we use insulation made from recycled wadding (60 g/m²). This synthetic polyester-based wadding traps more or less air, depending on the size of its fibres, in order to insulate you from the cold.

What is a coating?

The coating is a waterproofing material spread over the inner surface of a fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapour produced by the body's physical activity to escape. So you stay dry for greater comfort while practising your sport.

How is the waterproof rating of my trousers measured?

The resistance of a fabric to water pressure is expressed in terms of the height in mm of a water column that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a 3000 mm waterproof rating is therefore resistant to the pressure exerted by a 3000 mm column of water (roughly equivalent to a 2-hour downpour).

How can i be sure my trousers will give me proper protection in bad weather?

These trousers were developed using a strong component and assembly that reduce wind chill and prevent water from getting inside, so that you can tackle any weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, etc.).To validate the waterproof rating, these trousers were tested under a special shower that replicates the conditions skiers have to face. We validated the waterproofing of this product by skiing for several days in a variety of different conditions.

What is the water repellent feature of my trousers for?

The water repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. These trousers feature water-repellent components to improve their resistance to bad weather. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface. However, this property may deteriorate with use.

How to restore the water repellent feature of your trousers?

Bear in mind that the water repellent feature can be reactivated. To do this, put the trousers in the dryer on a synthetics programme for 10 to 15 minutes. You can also use a waterproofing spray (sold in our stores): spray the product evenly over the entire garment and allow to dry for 10 to 12 hours.

What are "breathable" trousers?

This garment wicks away the water vapour produced by your body when exercising. To find out if a fabric is breathable, we measure its total evaporative resistance RET (test based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. The 150 trousers have an RET of 13. However, it is the technical solutions (zips, vents, mesh) that Wedze uses, which reduce the condensation inside the garment and maximise breathability.

How should i dress to avoid having cold legs on the slopes?

To keep your legs warm and dry, 2 layers of clothing are enough:- 1 skiing base layer to wick away perspiration.- 1 ski trousers to protect from bad weather and provide warmth.

How can i prevent snow from getting into my trousers?

The trousers have elasticated gaiters at the ankles to cover the boots. If you fall or come into contact with fresh snow, the seal created by the gaiter keeps the snow out.

What is the fit of the 150 trousers?

Regular fit with space inside for wearing the trousers with a high-tech base layer.

How to wash my trousers?

To optimise the performance and durability of your trousers, we recommend:* Machine wash at 30°C, synthetic cycle.* Turn the product inside out.* Add a small amount of detergent. No softener.* Wring by hand.* Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place.Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator.

Ski Tousers

Good quality but the 2 xl was very small. Had to return.

Good Value

Toasty warm and well made. A good length for my legs. Possibly snug if a thick pair of thermals were worn underneath. For the price, well worth it.

Easily survived a week in the Andorran mountains!

Great value and more than tough enough to survive a weeks holiday and a few falls.
