Description

The Easybreath everyone’s talking about! The Easybreath+ mask with an acoustic valve allows you to be heard more clearly on the surface.

Before each use, check your Easybreath, and especially your kid’s:

- Hold the snorkel in your hand and move it from left to right. The ball should follow the movement without restriction - Check that the seal is in place, in good condition, and correctly positioned - Check that all of the valves are in place, lying flat, and that they’re not deformed - Check the overall assembly of the mask and make sure that there are no defects in the assembly of the skirt on the frame or in the lens. - Never use the mask without the snorkel

What if my mask is fogging up?

If your Easybreath is fogging up around the eyes, we recommend going through the 4 steps listed above, correctly repositioning your mask and checking that your Easybreath is the right size for your face. If the problem persists, do not use the mask and contact your nearest Decathlon store.

Snorkelling safety

Snorkelling is an easy and fun activity for all the family! Breathing through a snorkel is more physically demanding than regular swimming. If you feel tired, short of breath or dizzy, remove your mask and get out of the water. Do not use this product if you have cardiovascular or respiratory problems (lung infection, angina, asthma, hypertension, heart disease, etc.). If in doubt, consult your doctor.

What Easybreath are available at Decathlon?

Easybreath: a mask that allows nose and mouth breathing, offering a wide field of vision and an anti-fog system through air circulation. Available for adults and kids. Easybreath +: in addition, an acoustic valve that allows you to speak more audibly at the surface, with your head above water (without having to remove your mask! ) Easybreath 900: a soft nose that lets you equalise the ears and allows you to descend to depths of up to 3 m; don’t stay on the surface, get down there!

What is the Easybreath+?

The Easybreath+ is the next generation full-face mask created by Decathlon. It has the same characteristics as the old model: 180° vision, anti-fog, easy to put on, etc. and we have made the mask more robust, the skirt more comfortable, and breathing easier with the effort on breathing reduced by 20%. It is also equipped with innovations: a valve that allows communication on the surface and the “dry-top release” that prevents the phenomenon of breathing being cut off during immersion.

How does the Easybreath work?

The fresh air is projected onto the glass before reaching the nose or mouth via the nasal valves. The constant supply of fresh air reduces the amount of fogging up in the mask. The air packed with moisture and CO² is evacuated through channels located inside the mask’s rim, which leads this air into the snorkel. The air is constantly renewed. The flow of air going in and out are separated to avoid mixing in polluted air and allowing you to breathe fresh air. Licensed under Ocean Reef Group

Waterproofing: how does the dry-top system stop water from entering?

The mask uses Dry-top technology. This system was developed to stop water from getting into the snorkel when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface, in case of submersion or when the user leans their head too far forward to observe the seabed. The snorkel is fitted with a float that rises to close the opening when the snorkel is submerged. When this happens, remember to take the snorkel out of the water and blow into the mask to make sure the buoy comes back down.

Can I repair my Easybreath+ mask if it breaks?

YES, you can extend the lifespan of your Easybreath snorkelling mask! After-sales service is available from the Workshop in your Decathlon store. The changeable parts (strap, cover, snorkel, valves) are all available online or in store. strap - 8316952, valve - 8363399, snorkel - 8506099, white cover - 8665853.

Can I dive with my Easybreath+ ?

The Easybreath+ is not adaptable for diving. The volume of air in the Easybreath mask is greater than that of other traditional diving masks. From just 1 m down; the pressure of the mask becomes very uncomfortable on your face. Furthermore, while freediving, it is necessary to decompress. With the Easybreath+ mask, this is impossible because the nose is inaccessible. So you need an Easybreath 900 if you want to descend below the surface

Why choose Easybreath over a traditional valve mask?

The Decathlon Easybreath mask is the preferred choice for those who have reservations about diving with a snorkel in their mouth or going deep. The Easybreath is ideal for shallow aquatic activities. It allows natural nose-mouth breathing and has a large field of vision.

What size Easybreath+ should I choose?

The Easybreath+ is available in 2 sizes which cover 90% of faces. From age 10 and for small faces opt for size S/M. For bigger faces use M/L. To choose the right size when in the store, tighten the mask so that it fits against your face: there should be no gap between your chin and the bottom of the mask.

Safety Warning

• This product is designed exclusively for the practice of snorkeling, on the surface. • For your safety learn to use this equipment correctly before you use the product by reading the enclosed instructions. • Read user manual prior to use and follow all warnings and instructions. • Breathing through a snorkel is more demanding than simply swimming. If you feel tired, short of air or dizzy, remove your mask and get out of the water. • Do not use this product if you have any ongoing respiratory or cardiovascular issues including but not limited to chest infection, asthma, high/raised blood pressure (hypertension), heart disease or angina etc. If you have any doubts or questions relating to this please check with your medical practitioner. • Do not use alone. Always go snorkeling with a buddy. • Modifying this product in any way can cause potential danger to life. • Practicing putting the mask on and taking it off several times before using it could possibly help prevent injuries and deaths. • Do keep in mind how far you have swum and keep in mind the currents; the return journey to shore may be exhausting. • Do not leave unsupervised within the reach of children. • Failure to follow safety instructions can result in serious injury, drowning or death.

Can I wear glasses with my Easybreath mask?

Most spectacle frames will prevent the mask from sealing properly by distorting the mask skirt. It is also complicated to use the Easybreath mask with glasses.

What precautions should I take with my Easybreath+ mask?

Pay attention to sand! Avoid letting your full-face snorkelling Easybreath+ mask come into contact with sand as this can scratch the lens of the mask. If sand is present, do not use force to clip the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask before connecting them. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel vigorously or use a key that you can fit through the rear vents of the snorkel to unblock the float valve, then rinse the snorkel.
