Make sure the compass is flat when using it

If your compass is not detecting the north
Use your compass at sufficient distance from any magnetic sources which will affect its capacity to detect the north: high-voltage power lines, mobile phones, keys, metal objects, and even another compass can affect the direction

Came back from recent cycle holiday in Holland, determined to get compass after getting lost on more than one occasion coming out of towns and villages! I don't have GPS and this combined with a map will be ideal.

Je ne sais quand ça a commencé mais cette boussole m'indique pile l'inverse du Nord. Faut juste le savoir. Plus sérieusement, impossible à utiliser. Sinon, bon design ..
