Kids' 3-Wheeled Scooter Frame B1

Little one loves this scooter. However have noticed her falling off more and more off the scooter from some difficulty steering she is 4 now. Today was riding scooter to school and the brake snapped off so my little one then stumbled and hurt herself over the scooter as she tryed stopping. Not very happy with this product. And currently looking for a new scooter. Loved the fact I could change out the board colours as little one constantly changes the colours she likes.

Really good quality for little cost, son used it a couple times and got bored of it but that’s the nature of the beast! Would buy it again for a gift etc etc

Not steady enough

This was my second scooter bought from decathlon as I thought the first one I bought was faulty. It turned out i had the same problems as with the first. My daughter doesn’t seem to have control of it. She finds it wobbly and difficult to control. It’s not suitable for any age in my opinion. My little one is three and falls of almost every time she uses it. It was very frustrating watching her fall each time. She never got full use of it. We have since bought a different brand and it’s much better and she more content and happy and has more control.

Not worth a buy

Pay a little extra

Well you get what you pay for I suppose. My little boy finds this very unstable and now won't use it as he can't get his balance right when turning and just keeps taking off.

Not ready to use

So the night before my kids birthday we put this together only to find there is a part missing called a "skin" that you have to buy separately. Not mentioned on the webpage. What a joke. Like getting a new car without a floor. Never heard of a kids scooter not ready to use. Huge disappointment and will have to venture out first thing tomorrow to buy a complete one that is fit for purpose. Massively annoyed and disappointed. Gift spoiled. Be warned.

good quality and value for money

Below expectation

The scooter did not come with any onstruvtion guide .. The maximum height of the handle is not sufficient for a 3.5 year old. The handle is not stable enough and kids tend to fall while balancing the scooter..

Not the best

After 6 months, the back wheel is broken

Fantastic quality and value

We have 2 of these Scooters - one bought 3 years ago, the other a slightly older hand-me-down. They have been in almost daily use for years now and, other than the understandable dirt on the footplate, show no real signs of wear and tear. We keep them in the garage. The handle and base separate easily so they are great for chucking in the car for days out or breaks away. My eldest is almost 6 now and his creaks a little under his weight, but it’s certainly outlasted him growing!

Kid scooter

Well built, value for money

Thanks for you review on this product :)

Much better value than the leading brands

These Scooters are excellent value, just don't leave them outside over winter as the damp seizes the stirring column - this is the second one I have purchased for my daughter and she loves it.

Why choose the b1 scooter?

Because of its two front wheels and its unique, patented steering system. This combination was designed in conjunction with a physiotherapist and lets the deck tilt to a precise angle that's safe for children (which means they don't lose their balance when pushing forward or turning). The curved handlebar was designed to improve the child's position. The B1 is an intuitive, easy-to-ride scooter that helps children steer, supports their psychomotor development, and helps them learn.

How does the b1 scooter affect a child's psychomotor development?

To develop their psychomotor skills, your child needs to master their balance, hand, foot and eye coordination, and understand how their body is oriented in space. The three-wheeled B1 scooter has been specially designed with the help of a physiotherapist to make it easier for very young children, aged just 2, to get to grips with these skills and learn while having fun!

How does the b1 scooter work?

With its unique and patented steering system, the B1's deck tilts precisely to provide the ideal balance for your child on each turn. This system prevents the child being thrown off balance when pushing forward or turning. The intuitive design even helps children to develop their basic motor skills.

What safety precautions should you take with the b1 scooter?

We recommend wearing protective equipment when riding a scooter. This is the case for kids of all ages! Remember to get your child a helmet. They may also need knee pads and elbow pads depending on their level.

How easy is it for kids to ride the b1 scooter?

The PU rubber wheels and ABEC 1 bearings offer a glide quality that suits the abilities of two- to four-year-olds: good, but limited. The aim is not to frighten the child by building up too much speed.

How much does the b1 weigh?

1.8 kg: kids can use it and adults can carry it easily!

How do you change the cover on the b1 scooter?

The B1 kids' scooter is easy to assemble thanks to its 5 screws that quickly attach the coloured shell to the frame. This shell (sold separately and essential for using the scooter) can be replaced as often as you like - perfect for giving your scooter a new lease of life!

What are the dimensions of the b1 kids' scooter?

The B1 kids' scooter has been designed for kids to feel totally at ease:Deck length: 30 cmDeck width: 10.5 cmDeck height: 5 cmFront wheel diameter: 125 mmRear wheel diameter: 100 mmHandlebar height (lower position): 45 cm (from the deck)Handlebar height (higher position): 59 cm (from the deck)Total length: 56 cmWheelbase: 26 cm

How can you use the b1 scooter safely?

We recommend you check the condition of your scooter before and after each ride. Remember to check for abnormal play, cracks, and sharp edges. The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Remember to check them and change them if necessary. To repair your scooter and extend its lifespan, visit your local Decathlon workshop, which can order any spare parts you may need.

Is there a trick to carrying the b1 scooter?

The handlebar can be removed in 1 second and fixed underneath the deck with a rubber strap. This makes the B1 less bulky for when you want to transport or store it at home or in the car.

How are our products tested?

All of our scooters have been lab tested. These tests check compliance with the European standards for scooters and check wear on the scooter. For example, one of our tests involves a machine folding the scooter 10,000 times to check its folding system. As well as lab tests we do field tests - some measured and others based on the testers' opinions - to really put the product through its paces. The result is a tested, proven product.

What weight can the b1 take?

20 kg.
