Nordic Walking Poles

These poles are well constructed, very light and beautifully finished. The quick release of the hand grips works well. They would warrant five stars but for the design of the tip. The wedge shape with what amounts to a chisel edge is extremely sharp which makes it effective in digging into the ground but could injure anyone accidentally caught by it.

Great quality and price

Love these Nordic poles. Only been able to use a couple of times due to isolation but the advice about size for my height etc. was spot on. Great quality for the price.

Size matters!

I like these poles, they're light, but feel strong, and the cork hand grips are nicely shaped. There's also a broad wrist strap that's easy to fit and adjust, if a bit fiddly to take off when the Velcro fastener refuses to slide freely through the buckle! I'm disappointed, though, that I think I chose the wrong size and have poles that are a little too long. There's no guidance on this so I tried to decide by using an old adjustable telescopic trekking pole I have to find a length that gave the correct arm/hand position that's recommended on all the instruction videos on line and that turned out to be 1150mm so that's what I've got. Unfortunately, the overall length of the 1150 pole is actually 1200 , which means my poles are too long by 50mm and that extra seems to be pretty crucial in determining the angle that the pole strikes the ground, and therefore the height of the arm/hand on the forward swing of the arm. I'm hoping that my poles can be exchanged for a shorter size, maybe even 2 sizes down if I can be told, please, how to select the correct pole length. My wife and I are both over 70 (just a little!) and are new to this but it's certainly an activity that we both look forward to enjoying, alongside our camping trips as well as in our local parks and open spaces. We just need to have the right kit!
