We developed your jacket for wintry conditions: cold, rain and snow. Insulation is made from 100 g/m² wadding on the body and arms.The fleece-lined hood also lets you keep your head well protected and warm.The elastic tightening at the bottom of the jacket and sleeves is the finishing touch to ensure your jacket is comfortable.

Your jacket is designed with a waterproof outer component that keeps out water and wind. To keep you warm in winter you must also protect your extremities (head, hands, feet). The warm hood, the elastic tightening at the cuffs and the high collar prevent the cold from entering. Two warm pockets in extremely soft fleece protect your hands from the cold.

The waterproof properties of a jacket aren’t just that of its components: the assembly technique of the different parts is also an evaluation criteria.Whether it be heat-bonded or sewn watertight, the overall waterproof properties of your jacket are measured with a shower test developed by Decathlon that simulates rain or varying intensity.This waterproof jacket protects you from light rain, equivalent to 3 cm of rain in 30 minutes.

The waterproofing of a fabric by a coating or a membrane is measured in Schmerbers or H²O mm (pressure of a water column). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric.This jacket has a waterproof component (JIS 1092 standard) resistant to 5,000 mm H²O (Schmerbers) before washing.

Your jacket is waterproof thanks to its taped main seams. Waterproof tape is added to the seams inside the garment to make them watertight so that water cannot enter through the more vulnerable areas.We have checked the waterproofing with a specially designed shower test to reproduce conditions under a 30-minute rain shower. We also wore it in the field in all weather conditions to make sure that it is suited to your activities.

A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products (spray or liquid) for this purpose are available in our stores.

This product is guaranteed for 2 years from the date shown on the sales receipt. A product covered by the warranty will be exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects, excluding those resulting from normal wear and tear and improper use.

We have improved this product with an eco-design approach.The wadding and the outer fabric are made from recycled polyester guaranteeing effective product use.For the inner fleece or inner pockets, we have opted for mass pigmentation integrating the colour pigments from the initial thread manufacture which reduces water consumption.

By recycling plastic bottles or second-hand textiles to produce our polyester, we have reduced the utilisation of oil-based resources while preserving the quality and performance of the material during your mountain hikes.
