Easy to adjust . So far happy with this purchase
I haven't tried them as they were bought as a gift, but they look sturdy enough. The poles adjust to various lengths and collapse for easy storage.
so nice item
First set of walking poles, I'm pretty impressed and they did help a lot during a 17km hike, however they do indeed whistle in the wind, this can be solved using a little electrical tape to tape over the holes
Well designed and sturdy. For the price just excellent
Only used once but OK
I purchased these a few weeks ago and have been very pleased with there performance, ease of operation and weight.
Great hiking poles!
Not used yet
Using these poles without doubt helped me to carry my heavy rucksack load. Great poles easy to understand. Very glad to have them now.
Just bought one of these today. The top section clicks into place no problem, but the lower section does not - there is a hole, presumably for a raised bit to click in, but there doesn't seem to be one. Help please!
Used these for the first time this weekend. Worked well whilst out but on return I couldn't get one to retract again as the button seemed stick. Eventually managed to push the button in but it went too far and is now stuck inside the inner pole which renders the pole useless. Can't recommend when things go wrong after one use.
Easy to use like an old fashioned tent pole with buttons. Very light but with a good size diameter shaft to maintain stiffness. The only flaw I can see longterm is there is no way of adjusting the friction which keeps the pole compacted. A couple of times the pole extended itself while attached to my rucksack. Given how cheap the pole are, its probably worth sorting some DIY solution with 50p worth of shockcord
Generally these are sturdy, lightweight for the price, easy to extend with gloves on and comfortable. almost perfect. Almost... However there is a fatal flaw that I'm flabbergasted never came out in development or other peoples reviews. When extended, the top tube is hollow with many open holes (the adjustment positions) and in decent winds, these poles perform like a flute. They are so noisy, whistling and wailing as you move. Funny for the first 10 minutes, but truly awful after that. Not sure yet if I can be bothered to return them for how much they cost, but i'd avoid these at all costs for that reason.

This model is entirely designed and approved by our team, at the foot of Mont Blanc. This model uses the chassis of the A100, which we have "reinforced" to get it ready to take on the mountains! It retains the push-pin adjustment system and over-sized tubes. However, it can be set higher (130 cm), has an adjustable wrist strap, essential for support, an elongated foam handle for multi-position grip and a tungsten carbide tip to withstand rock.
Hold the poles with your arms bent at a right angle. To do this: - pull the lower part until the push-pin locks (lower metal button)- slide the middle tube until the upper button reaches the desired hole - use the lines printed on the tubes to align the push-pin with the holesNever go over the STOP line to avoid breaking the pole.
This hiking pole is designed to help you balance, propel yourself and distribute effort between arms and legs.To be on the safe side, check before you set off and at regular intervals that your baton is locked in place by simulating heavy bumps. Do not put on your backpack in case of a storm. Some users are sensitive to the whistling noise that can occur when the wind sweeps through the adjustment holes.
Proper maintenance of your baton will ensure that it functions optimally and that it lasts longer. After use, if water has penetrated the stick, remove the strands and allow to dry. If necessary, clean the dust or mud with water or a dry brush. Once dry, you can reassemble the strands. We recommend that you do not attempt to oil or grease the mechanisms.
At Decathlon, we have decided to sell our hiking/trekking poles individually. First because of how they are used. Indeed, some people only want to use one pole. Also, if one of your poles breaks, this means you only have to buy one and not a complete pair.
The advantage of buying Forclaz trekking poles is that you have a wide choice of compatible accessories and spare parts. So you can enjoy it for as long as possible.Hiking pole caps: ref. 8580865Summer baskets: ref. 8503854Winter baskets: ref. 8503857Replacement tip: - si code 73859 (on the tube near the handle): ref. 8577675- si code 75078 (on the tube near the handle): ref. 8577677Lower section MT100 CONF. : ref. 8642203
