This is a bit wider than the equivalent 8-speed SRAM chain, so doesn't flex quite as easily - it's noisier in 1st gear on my 1x8 box-4 chainset (which has quite severe cross-chaining in the lower gears). However it should be more robust for the same reason. It worked well and has put in a solid performance. It's now beyond the 0.75% wear limit so I've replaced it.
Excellent product. Despite having a very old bike the chain worked perfectly.

Was available on the shelve, fitted perfect.
I change chains every 1500 miles by which time the kmc x8 is usually approaching 0.075% wear limit. I’ll see how this one goes. I don’t know yet hence 4 stars.

Thanks for your feedback. Most often it's not the chain itself that makes a sound but the adjustment with the derailleurs. You could try changing the gears till the chain finds the right position.
If that doesn't work, could you please bring the bicycle in to the nearest Decathlon store? The workshop team will be more than happy to have a look and set it right.
