This short stem was used to give a more upright position than the 80mm stem - it does has expected and has made a massive difference! A cost effective and neat product !
Cheap as chips and does the job well. If you are looking for a part to make your riding position more comfortable or as a cheap replacement, then this is fine. If you need a lightweight part for performance, then look elsewhere and be willing to pay ALOT more.
Needed a shorter stem and this did the job, same rise just 20mm shorter
Was looking to shorten my XC MTB stem to get more response from the steering and looked around for ages, then came across this while in the store for something else. Almost all AL6065 stems are the same, regardless of who makes them, so this being under a tenner is great. Unless you are in to downhill stuff and need a real beast of a stem this will do the job just fine. Only negative is the picture on the website is not quite right, the stem bolts are actually silver rather than black.
The assistant was a Zwift specialist who saw my fit on the bike and suggested a shorter stem. They were all personable and took their time to make sure I was comfortable on the bike before I left. Very good service.
I bought this stem to replace the 80mm one that came on my Rockrider 540. The stem feels very sturdy and well-made, which still being fairly light. The stem i received looked a little different to that pictured, lacking the white Oxylane logo. Installing a relatively short stem like this is a great way to adjust the reach of your bike to improve riding position, and to make the bike feel more responsive. The only complaint I have is that my stem came with silver bolts, which stand out a little against the black finish of the stem. I would have preferred black bolts. Still, for the price one can't complain too much.
Amazing value for money. Very nicely made and finished. I have it on my 150mm full suspension bike and it is plenty strong enough. It's light too and the question is ....why pay more??
