Product tests
Our team of product designers based at the B'Twin Village in Lille (France), is continuously working to make cycling more comfortable for our users. Our obsession is to create products that meet the specific cycling needs of our users and eliminate hindrances to a good cycling experience. We then test our products in the field, as we are convinced that only by subjecting them to real world conditions, like the ones you experience on your bike, can we continuously improve our products.
How our rc500 cycling shorts were designed

New anatomical pad
The RC500 cycling shorts come with a new "anatomical" chamois pad.The central seam lets the pad fold. This construction technology ensures the perfect fit and stability in the saddle. It has been designed for the male anatomy and, thanks to its stretchy layers, it follows the body's movements as you ride.
Breathable high-density foam
The chamois pad is made from a unique combination of materials offering the type of protection needed on your long rides. The pad has a protective, high-density, 120 kg/m3 foam insert under the sit bones and the entire undercarriage. The top layer of fabric, which is in direct contact with the skin, is made from elastane and brushed polyester threads to prevent rubbing and irritation. All of the layers are breathable and wick perspiration.
Product Reviews
These are good shorts. The only complaints i have are they aren't very long in the leg so ride up when cycling. Also, the top of the leg pocket has become a bit stretched and baggy sfter just 3 days of wearing.
Have road cycled for over 20yrs and would certainly recommend these shorts not least of all because of their comfort but at this price point they are faultless. The fewer stars are due to the fit for me but of course that is personal always, so why give less ? Well I’ve had other shorts that have fitted me better but they cost many times more than these.
A few rides in and already some observations. Sizing is great, true to size so XL for me as an athletic build 110kg male is perfect. The pad is the best I own for longer rides and beats out even the middle tier offerings from Castelli. Side pockets are useful for endurance and gravel riding. Negatives though are that the material that contacts the saddle is a little loose and so when sitting back after setting off or after a standing effort, it does catch the nose of the saddle. Nothing a quick adjustment doesn’t solve but annoying in traffic when considering clipping in, being road aware etc. overall I recommend because these will work for the vast majority of riders with lots of useable sizes.
