Good tyres

Not the easiest to fit but last ones lasted 2500 miles at a great price with only one puncture.

Weights are wrong

The weight of this tyre was 604 g (with carboard label attached) which is near the quoted 640g. However the Vitoria adventure tyre is only 574g (with carboard label), much less than the quoted 710g. This tyre appears stiffer (maybe due to puncture protector) and has more rubber than the adventure tyre. I ridden this tyre for a couple of weeks, so far so good. I'm guessing this tyre is more durable than the cheapest decathlon treking tyre, which wore out in 2 months.

Very good product!!

fantastic tyre

Had these tyres on a bike I use to commute for nearly two years. Never had a puncture, would've covered 5,000 miles approx. Very hard-wearing.

Not entirely puncture-proof

Extremely disappointed by these. Very tight fitting makes it hard to replace the inner tube and I keep getting punctures as the tube rubs against a sharp edge on one of the tyres. I did put some flexible rubber filling to stop this from happening but that's not the way it should work.

Dear Sir,
Thank for you for taking the time to share your review of this tyre with us. I'm very sorry to read that there was a fault with the tyre leading to punctures.
If you are not satisfied with this Vittoria product and you feel that there is a manufacturing defect, please feel free to return it to us.

Gute Beratung.

Additional Product informations

How to measure tyre wear

To measure the wear on your city bike tyres and to know when they need replacing, you need to inspect the tread. Usual signs of wear include:- tread starting to fray- the appearance of a series of micro cracks- low tread depth- the carcass becomes visible. In all these cases the tyre is worn and needs replacing.

How to remove a tyre

To remove your tyre, deflate the inner tube until no more air comes out.Once deflated, use a tyre lever to remove the tyre from the rim.

How to fit a tyre

To put the tyre back on, place one side of the tyre into the bottom of the rim. Next, inflate your inner tube to approximately 30% before putting it into the tyre (inflating it beforehand reduces the risk of pinching the inner tube). Then, insert the other side of the tyre into the rim, starting on the side opposite the valve. Before inflating the inner tube all the way, check to make sure it isn't pinched between the tyre and the rim.

How to inflate your tyre correctly

Inflate your tyre carefully. The recommended pressure is listed on the side of your tyre. Also, before each outing, make sure that your tyres are at the correct pressure for your ride.

Tip from the pros

When inflating your tyre, make sure you inflate it to the suitable pressure for the terrain you will be riding on and, above all, the weather conditions you will be riding in.When riding in rainy weather, lower the tyre pressure to increase the tyre's traction. On the other hand, when riding in dry weather, you can increase the pressure for better performance.
