W500 S women's rnning watch

I bought W200 a few months ago, also from Decathlon, and am very pleased with it. Wanted the same watch for hubby but W200 no longer available but could purchase W500 instead. I assumed it would be as good as, if not better than, simply a matter of a different model number. However, the watch face is smaller and not as easy to see as W200 and not as straight forward to use. As for the instructions for setting the watch up - took us ages to figure out the extremely badly written instructions. Not as impressed. Definitely prefer W200 over the W500.

I have bought the green one. I really liked it - it is simple, fun colour, has a light built in but.... not even after a year the bracelet is dirty and it is impossible to clean it. i know there are a replacement ones in black but i d rather have them in the original colour. I learned not to buy a bright colour watch again :)

I'm picky about watches: I'm very shortsighted so I want one with a large, easy to read face and a bright backlight that I can use at night when I'm not wearing my glasses. I like to swim a lot and tend to struggle to see clocks at a distance even with my prescription goggles, so again having a watch that can be seen easily and handle being used underwater is great. I also tend to like having a watch that can be used as a back-up alarm while travelling if my phone is low on battery. Finally, I'm always after one that is stylish that I can wear all the time without feeling self conscious. I have fairly slender wrists so some watches look huge on me. On all those points, this watch really excelled! I had it for nearly two years, and I hoped I was going to get to keep it longer. The big problem I've had is with the strap. I've had problems in the past with rubber straps snapping, so the idea of one that can be replaced sounded great. The problem I've found is that the mechanism that lets you slide on a new strap is a greater weakness than the strap itself. After nearly a year of use, the sliding strap broke and I had to buy a new strap. Sadly the only colour I could find was black, which spoiled the look of the watch. Then about nine months later - the same thing happened to the black strap. I got a new one AGAIN. And then the same thing happened to that strap - the sliding mechanism broke. This time I couldn't find another strap - I'm not sure if Decathlon sells them separately any more - and it was starting to be a big waste of money. I've ended up buying a similar Decathlon watch that I don't think is quite as stylish, but it doesn't have the problematic strap mechanism !

The watch is really light and as it’s small looks very classy on your wrist. The best feature is the interchangeable straps. Fab idea dress the watch up or down for all occasions. Ideal for using at the gym and pool and to the office

Great little watch. Back light is excellent. The only negative is that I would have liked the numbers to be bigger.

I like this watch which is light. I don't feel anything when I am wearing it. The watch alarm come in very useful too. The selected colour of the watches are limited,I wish there will be more colours of this watch available in the future.

Bought at 1/2 price of £7.99 so can't complain about price. However, I've come to expect better from Decathlon. The online description doesn't really identify this as a SMALL watch. In my opinion it's really only suitable for a child. It also arrived set one hour in advance of BST. Whilst that's not terrible, it does put a question mark on battery life. Finally, the 'swip' strap isn't very good. It moves and I reckon it'll fall off sooner or later (not that I'll be wearing it). Sorry Decathlon, not to your usual high standards.

I needed a waterproof watch to replace my ON Training 100S (the case had perished) and had hoped to get one of the cheaper Decathlon watches. However, they were all even bigger than my ON Training. The W500 S Swip is more sophisticated than I need but was the only one of a sensible size. It has the advantage of being able to display the date permanently. However , a major disadvantage is that I can not read it underwater in the swimming pool; nor can I read it in poor light when cycling or driving without using the back light. I assume I should not use the buttons underwater, so the watch is of limited use. Please bring back the ON series of watches or produce a basic watch of an in-between size!
