Bought this sun hat for my daughter who is very pale. Excellent cover, wipeable as it got dirty and it has a strap which means it won’t blow off when she’s playing!
A third time f the price of similar hats and just the same quality and performance

Big enough for my large head, if only there was one size bigger for the extra big headed people like my self
Only negative is the rim is not very sturdy and folds easily in wind.
Nice wide brim, enough structure to retain shape after being packed in a bag, great adjustability, deflects light rain from face, breathes well and offers great sun protection.

Seems too small, keep falling off when kayaking on sea

I'm sorry to read that you were not fully satisfied with the size of this hat.
This model comes in 2 sizes, maybe the other size would be more comfortable for you (60-62cm).
To make sure you never lose your hat in the sea, we have also developed models with a chin strap or storm cords, made specifically for kayak, surfing, sailing and other water activities. What criteria must a cap meet in order to qualify as "uv-protective"?
UV protection standards for hats are very specific: The fabric must of course be anti-UV (UPF index greater than 50), but this is not enough to claim the finished product is anti-UV. The hat must also have a wide brim and flap which fully protects the face and the back of the neck.The Trek 500 hat meets these requirements so you can go hiking with complete peace of mind: you are perfectly protected!
Why is polyamide “more resistant”?
Polyamide offers excellent abrasion and tear resistance. Moreover, microorganisms and mould don’t trouble the synthetic fibre!
How do you measure a fabric's quick drying capacity?
The product is machine washed 3 times then line dried, then we immerse it in water and measure how long it takes to get back to its pre-wash weight.This hat scored an impressive 5 out of 5 stars, returning to its pre-washed weight in less than 80 minutes!
